ABSTRACT
The Drones for Climate Action and Resilience Exchange (DCARE) project aims to build upon the technological foundation of the Maneuverable Autonomous Drone for Navigation and Intelligence (MADNI) to facilitate search and rescue across climate/disaster-impacted ecosystems. This paper investigates the adaptation of MADNI's Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled sensing power to flood monitoring, disaster management, and climate resilience in Pakistan. This drone, equipped with cutting-edge environmental sensing and navigation systems, facilitates real-time data collection and analysis for efficient disaster response. Combining artificial intelligence and IoT that allows for robust deployment under challenging environments reiterates its key role in addressing sustainable development goals related to climate action, sustainable cities and communities.
