ABSTRACT
Solar power remains significant around the globe and it can be harness through solar efficient technologies. Pakistan has also an ambitious goal of relying on sustainable energy like solar. Hence this study discusses the implementation of a 100 KW solar photovoltaic (PV) power project in Hyderabad, Pakistan, by evaluating the technical and financial parameters using numerical method. The investigation of sustainable alternative energy sources has become more important due to the detrimental effects of greenhouse gases on the environment and the rising prices. The annual production of solar energy is 219,000 KWh with avoidable annual carbon emissions are accounted to be 90,225 tons. The payback period of the project is 4.75 years with net present cost is found to be $7042.
