This paper provides a modern charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. Recently, different networks are being built to charge electric vehicles as the demand for electric vehicles is increasing worldwide, severely impacting grids. The proposed system with the smart grid environment will provide an economical and convenient charging system for the electric vehicle to avoid environmental and grid impacts to ensure charging stations’ availability. Carport canopies are used to provide a variety of alternatives to electric vehicles. There are different types of carport canopies to generate maximum power. Detailed optimization and canopy selection are performed at various standard tilt degrees to create maximum solar photovoltaic energy, and the results are compared. This paper designs solar-based carport canopies for the electric vehicle charging system to accomplish a sustainable system for the Performance of different types of canopies and a Comparison of Photovoltaic generation on Mono-pitch, Duo-pitch, and Barrel-Arch Canopies is presented.
